1. Who we are

Namu is the data controller for personal data processed on this platform. Contact us through the support form for any privacy matter.

2. What data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, phone number, password (hashed), profile photo, spoken languages, and optional public-profile details you choose to add.
  • Verification data — email/phone verification status and, where you complete identity verification, its status.
  • Booking data — reservations, stay dates, guest counts, prices, payment declarations, and related documents you upload.
  • Communication data — messages exchanged through the platform messenger and with support.
  • Reviews — reviews you write and receive (you may post reviews anonymously; anonymity hides your name from the public, not from the platform).
  • Technical data — IP address, session and security logs.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

  • To provide the marketplace service — account, listings, bookings, messaging, reviews (contract performance).
  • To keep the platform safe — fraud prevention, moderation, blocking, banning (legitimate interest).
  • To meet legal obligations — accounting and tax records for paid services.
  • To send service notifications about your bookings and account (contract performance); you can tune non-essential notifications in your profile settings.

4. Sharing

Booking details are shared between the Guest and the Host of that booking. We use processors for hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, error monitoring, and payments (Paysera for vendor billing). We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Booking and billing records are kept as required by Lithuanian accounting law. Moderation and security logs are kept for the period needed to protect the platform.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, export, and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI). You can download a copy of your data and delete your account from your profile settings.
