Terms of Service

1. About Namu

Namu ("the Platform", "we") is an online marketplace that connects people offering accommodation for rent ("Hosts") with people looking to book accommodation ("Guests"). Namu is not a party to the rental agreement concluded between Host and Guest — we provide the tools to list, discover, book, communicate, and pay.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or the safety of our community.

3. Listings and bookings

  • Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listings: photos, descriptions, pricing, availability, and house rules.
  • A booking request becomes binding between Guest and Host when the Host confirms it.
  • Prices shown include the fees itemized at checkout. Utility costs may be billed separately where stated in the listing.
  • Cancellations are governed by the cancellation terms shown on the listing and the reservation page.

4. Payments

Payments between Guests and Hosts are made directly using the payment methods the Host offers (bank transfer, payment on arrival, or online payment where available). Namu charges Hosts for listing visibility; Namu does not hold Guest funds unless explicitly stated otherwise during checkout.

5. Reviews

After a completed stay, Guests may review the accommodation and Hosts may review Guests. Reviews must be truthful, relevant, and free of abusive content. We may remove reviews that violate these rules.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: circumvent the Platform to avoid fees; post false, misleading, or discriminatory content; use the Platform for money laundering or other illegal activity; harass other users; or scrape or misuse Platform data.

7. Liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Namu is not liable for the conduct of Hosts or Guests, the condition of accommodations, or losses arising from rental agreements between users.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may restrict or terminate access for breaches of these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Lithuanian courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
